Below you will find all the information to get you started!
What is Slack? How does it work?
Slack is a collaborative platform that aims to facilitate exchanges in a digital workspace. Each workspace is composed of thematic channels, on which team members can communicate and collaborate.
Slack can be used directly in your browser. However, for greater ease of use, we recommend that you install it as an application on your desktop (Mac, Windows, Linux) or phone and tablet (iOS, Android...).
To better understand what Slack can do, we invite you to visit this page on their support centre.
Start on the community
Welcome! Here are some tips to get you started:
Update your profile
Update your profile to be clearly identified: name, first name, company, position... This information is optional but will allow us to get to know you better and facilitate exchanges between you 😊
Introduce yourself
Come and introduce yourself on #introductions: tell us who you are, what your daily challenges are, what you expect from the community, etc.
Explore the contents
Discover and participate in the exchanges in the different channels. In order to organize the discussions by theme, we offer several channels:
#general
Default string, generalist as its name suggests! For your discussions of the "all coming together" and the activity of AT Internet.
#introductions
Channel reserved for presentations by newcomers to the community
#product-news
Channel reserved for new products
#user-experience
Channel reserved for announcements and registration for our user tests
#french
Channel reserved for exchanges in French
Set your notifications
Slack offers different levels of notifications when messages are published on the platform. You can adjust these notifications for each channel. You can therefore only be notified when messages are published in the channels that interest you, or when a user speaks directly to you.
See Slack's documentation on notifications to learn how to configure yours.
Don't be shy!
This is your home! Start conversations, react to others' publications, share content... The active participation of all will contribute to the success of the community.
Code of conduct
The community does not replace the support centre: any question related to the functioning of the product or the reporting of possible bugs must go directly to the support. Instead, you can focus on sharing experiences, findings and tips...
Caring is the order of the day: make sure you respect everyone else on the platform. In case of problems, do not hesitate to contact someone from the AT Internet staff (look for the AT Internet logo next to the users' names).
Need help?
Contact a member of the AT Internet staff! To identify us, it's easy: look for the AT Internet logo next to the usernames.
Terms and conditions of use
Slack's terms of use apply, make sure that your business rules allow you to use this type of communication channel.
We guarantee that we will not share the information exchanged with third parties without your consent, but the information you provide on this channel is accessible to the entire community.
