About Dailymotion

Dailymotion is a French company offering a service for hosting, sharing and viewing online video.

Prerequisites

To activate AT Connect Dailymotion, you will need a Dailymotion channel.

Note: Collect methods and therefore calculation of Dailymotion and AT Internet present differences. This means that the data reported can be different between these two solutions, especially if the reader is integrated into an application via a webview.

Tag automatically your videos

To tag automatically your Dailymotion video, you have to go on the Advanced Options section (Dailymotion provides only in french):

• Fill in the different fields
  • Site ID = ID of your level 1 site
  • Sub-domain = secured collect log which should be logs or logws
  • Level 2 site ID = ID of your level 2 site
  • Internal domain
• You will find this information on Tag Composer 

• Click on Save button

Visualise your data

As soon as your videos are tagged, you will be able to see on the Analytics Suite 2 your data. The different dimensions and metrics available with the AT Connect Dailymotion are available on the section: Dimesions and metrics

• Go on Explorer
• Select Content then Rich Media

• You can add other metrics by using the drop-down menu on the right

You can also display your data on DataQuery. The following URL can be used:

Dimensions and metrics

When using AT Connect Dailymotion, you will have access to the following data.

Dimensions

• Media type: the value will always be « Videos »
• Level 2 sites: the value will always be the same and is related to the ID filled in the connector
• Content: the value will be a concatenation of the video code and its label. Ex : xb56hy_Journal_20h_20_Decembre
• Locations: the value (either "Internal" or "External") is defined according to the current URL based on the domain name entered in the connector

Metrics

• Plays
• Pauses
• Stops
• Playcount
• Full playbacks
• Full playback rate
• Average playback rate
• Cumulative time spent on content
• Playback progress rate

Activating this partnership activates the import of Dailymotion data into AT Internet tools. Only the data necessary for the proper functioning of the bridge are imported.
