Make multi-dimensional queries instantaneously, at an overall level, on multiple sites, at a highly detailed level, or at the campaign level. Segments, custom metrics and filters allow you to refine the scope of your analysis as much as you need.
Before learning how to create custom analyses, let's first look at Data Query's basic concepts:
Template: A template defines the structure of data to export, and is based on the different terms listed here below. Users can create as many templates and data exports as they wish.
Dimensions: Dimensions are angles or axes of analysis, according to which we examine groups of data (example: countries, sources, marketing campaigns).
Metrics: Metrics are variables (indicators) associated with a dimension. Metrics enable you to analyse performance or traffic for each element contained in a dimension (example: visits, page views, bounce rate).
Custom metrics: Metrics that users can define according to their specific needs. Custom metrics are based on operations between different metrics, whole numbers, decimals, segmented metrics, etc.

Filters: Filters let you refine the terms displayed in tables, by filtering on the column representing the dimension or metric in question.
Segment: A segment contains criteria that have been defined in order to obtain a subset of visits sharing the same characteristics.
Standard template: Standard templates are analyses pre-defined by AT Internet. They englobe the main analyses used in web analytics.
Pre-calculation request: A pre-calculation request is an asynchronous calculation of your datasets when you request score is too high (long periods, complexe correlations, etc.)
