Why do I get a different number of visitors between the Analytics Suite and Analyzer NX?

The definition of metrics may vary between Analyzer NX and the Analytics Suite, leading in differences in data.

In order to better understand the below definitions, please read beforehand the article "Visitors and Unique Visitors" explaining how visitors are recognized and giving the definition of the 3 available visitors metrics in the Analytics Suite.

In Analyzer NX, 6 metrics exists, 3 for visitors (sum of daily unique visitors) and 3 for unique visitors.

Visitors

  • Visitors (with cookies): Sum of daily unique visitors, with cookies and at least one page view.
  • Visitors (without cookies): Sum of daily unique visitors, without cookies and at least one page view.
  • Visitors (all cookies): Sum of daily unique visitors with or without cookies and at least one page view.

Unique visitors

  • Unique visitors (with cookies): Unique visitors with cookies and at least one page view.
  • Estimated unique visitors (without cookies): Unique visitors without cookies and at least one page view. If the analysis period exceeds one day, this metric becomes an estimate. Visitors without cookies can only be retrieved with accuracy on a daily basis, with help of the couple IP/User Agent.
  • Estimated unique visitors (all cookies): Unique visitors with or without cookies and at least one page view. Due to unique visitors (without
cookies), this metric is also an estimate on periods greater than a day.
